Orphan Sunday — observed this year on November 8th — is a global movement inviting faith communities to reflect God’s heart for orphaned and vulnerable children. It is a day set aside for churches, ministries, and believers to pause, pray, learn, and respond with compassion.
Every faith community, and every person within it, can do something. From foster care and adoption to global orphan care and wrap-around support for families, Orphan Sunday creates space for meaningful engagement and practical action.
Faith communities in more than 120 countries have witnessed how this day can spark new commitments, mobilize action, and celebrate what God is already doing to bring hope and restoration to vulnerable children and the families who care for them.
